THE tide may have well and truly turned on Ireland’s property boom, but not every project will end up stranded at low ebb.

Set fair for a sale is Tidewater Hideaway, a waterside house at low-quay Derrygereen, up the Ilen river inlet between Baltimore and Skibbereen. It is a safe retreat for boats from the island of Roaringwater Bay, and the boatyard nearby at Oldcourt is a location marker for old sea dogs.
