Beach-fronted home at Clonea has gold-plated price tag of €1.35m

ONE of the higher priced offerings in the area, but deservedly so because of its mix, is this large beach-fronting west Waterford home on the Copper Coast, with a gold-plated €1.35 million price tag.

Just a few weeks up for sale for its owners of the last 12 years, this Clonea seaside retreat with its 180 degree views was significantly upgraded and extended five year ago, says selling agent Michael Morrissey of Dungarvan.

Early interest is coming from Waterford professionals, from Dublin and from Cork buyers, and also from the UK because of the house’s space, quality, and exceptional setting.

“The word ‘stunning’ falls short of accurately portraying what this five-bedroomed, split-level coastal property has to offer,” Mr Morrissey says, and he is confident of getting bids up close to the €1.35m asking price – it is one of the best market offerings around, he reckons.

Set 150 yards off the main road, it is four miles from Dungarvan, half an hour or so from Waterford city and airport, while Cork is about an hour away.

The aspect is southerly, looking to the beach and sea past its fenced lawns with palms and pine trees, and a mix of patio doors and French doors open not only the vista, but the ease of indoor/outdoor living on a split-level patio – weather permitting.
