Opportunity in The Lawn estate

THE developers of The Lawn, Fleming Construction, are in for planning permission for 45 more houses in west Cork’s Castletownshend, but, given the market, and the scale of objections to the first development, don’t expect these plans to turn into built houses any time soon.

Opportunity in The Lawn estate

Many of the picturesque village’s residents reacted vociferously when plans were first lodged for The Lawn, but since completion of the 43 houses, in 2003, arguments have waned: the scheme’s quality and look tempered much of the criticism, while the fact that it is separated off and walled in also blunted advance negativity.

Into a quiet winter lull comes the planned resale now of number six, The lawn, an end-terraced house with stone-fronted exterior, paved front garden/corner site, rear patio, and harbour, island and Myross views, as well as glimpses of the village’s showpiece Church of Ireland church.
