Country homes in much sought-after location

IT’S unusual to get two country properties in close proximity for sale, but that’s what’s happened at Currahaly, Farran. Norma Healy of Sherry FitzGerald is charged with selling two detached houses at €420,000 apiece and they each come with their own attractions.

The first, a modern dormer is on the market because its owners are returning to Canada, and the second, a large 1980s bungalow, is for sale because the family have flown the nest.

Farran, which seems like the depths of the country to some, is one of the more sought-after areas in mid-Cork. It’s on the main Cork-Macroom road with excellent schools and facilities nearby.
