Pitch for Liscannor greenfield site

THE boundaries are out of bounds when it comes to houses along Lahinch’s chic residential ribbon on the road to Liscannor.

Pitch for Liscannor greenfield site

All strung out in a line, with the road and famed Lahinch golf links course to the front and the Castle course to the back, these detached houses occupy a niche in the aspirations of locals and visitors. Despite the plethora of other holiday home options and schemes in this Co Clare town, Liscannor Road holds sway for those who value location.

And, why not? Nearly all rooms look out on the lush links course, and Lahinch beach, just over the fairway is a highly regarded location for surfing.

One of the last chances to buy a greenfield site has come up with Áine Hussey of Sherry FitzGerald Hussey Madden in Ennistymon.

The rectangular 0.23 acre site, faces the fourth green and fifth teeboxes and is midway along the row of varying house types, mostly dormers, many of which have recently gone the super-size me option. Marine-themed and architect-designed has clearly emerged as a trend.

“Families coming for Lahinch golfing for many a year have holiday homes on this road,” says Ms Hussey. The strip of land is suitably zoned for residential/holiday homes. Other older, earlier and run-down houses along the line have sold for well over €700,000 and have been transformed or rebuilt as can been seen, says Ms Hussey, quoting an AMV of €700,000.
