You’ll find nun better in Doneraile

CALLED An Clogher, this new estate of townhouses and semis is set on the former convent grounds in Doneraile.

The north Cork village has had a huge facelift during the Celtic Tiger’s lifespan, and the historic main street is now looking very spick and span.

One of a number of new developments in the area, An Clogher is close to the former convent church, also for sale with agent, Liam Mullins of Liam Mullins and Co.

Built by John O’Flynn of Newtwopothouse, the scheme has a very high spec, something the agent is keen to stress, and internal fittings include solid oak doors, floors and architraves.

Extensive tiling to the main and en suite bathrooms, as well as kitchen and utility, are standard and the houses come with pumped electric showers.

Stonewalls to the rear of each unit (there are 25 in total) are old, limestone.

PC sums are available for fireplaces and the houses also have cobble-lock driveways and lawned gardens. The townhouse units start at €210,000 for a generous, 1,150 square feet, while the semis, with a gross area of 1,350 sq ft, are on the market at €235,000.
