Vacation home fit for family

THEY came for a holiday home and moved over full-time as the place grew on them. Then, they grew on the place by extending. Now, it is time to move again.

Americans, from Los Angeles but with recent Irish roots, Kathleen and Chris Rearden Noblet toured Ireland a decade ago, in the hunt for a holiday bolt-hole and retreat for their academic and writing careers. They viewed properties as diverse as Dalkey in Dublin and Westport in Mayo, before berthing at Schull’s Colla Road, one of the most honeyed, and moneyed, coastal roads in the west Cork region.
