Sherkin is a 10-minute ferry ride from Baltimore in west Cork, with a regular ferry service. The only easier islands to reach are those with bridges to them.

Kilmoon was built at the turn of the new millennium by a family that wholeheartedly embraced island life. They’ve made so much use of this second home, they’ve bought more land and are going to farm it, and build anew on the larger purchase.
