Cois Chuain, right up your Lane

LANE HOMES are back in action in Cork’s Glounthaune village, with a mix of 26 A-rated energy efficient homes at Gort Fada, at prices from €299,000 to €349,000 (see below).

But for those buying at the upper end of the price scale, there’s little to match Lane’s completed Cois Chuain development. On a south-facing hill above the village, they range from 2,000 to over 3,000 sq ft. Some have breached the €1 million mark in re-sales.

Meanwhile, having finished the 60-plus Cois Chuain houses as a calling card of quality, Lane Homes are currently marketing the niche development Gort Fada, designed by Deady Gahan architects and being sold by Savills HOK.

Branded as SEI ‘Houses of Tomorrow,’ the scheme of townhouses, apartments, duplexes, has solar panels, air/heat recovery pumps and ventilation, wood pellet boilers and proximity to a rail commuter station at Glounthaune.
