Holiday homes ideal for renting
A cluster of 16 holiday homes, done to a contemporary palette, has been built in the grounds of Ballinadee, up river of Kinsale in Co Cork.
Done to a four-star Bord Failte standard, they are consistent renters, and are let via the Trident Hotel in Kinsale, with high occupancy levels, says estate agent Anne Marie Kennedy of Lisney.
She is selling two remaining houses here for the developers, the McCarthy family, and new owners can choose to keep for their own use, or continue to rent and take advantage of capital allowances.
Nos 6 and 8 are three-bed detacheds, with selling prices of €385,000 a pop, and they’ve been designed by Jack Coughlan Architects, with subtle changes and interior alterations among the various houses build here, including mezzanines. They are being sold fully furnished, down to cups and plates.
The three-bed houses will come with capital allowances of 10% per annum, of use to investors who can offset against all Irish sourced rental income.
The Castle Quay houses have a waterfront setting, with views from the site of the Bandon river, they have Gold Shield electric heating, whirlpool baths, tile en suites, double-glazed teak windows and solid wood kitchens with granite worktops.
