IT’S looking very foxy at Foxwood — an infill scheme which has been given the Village Interiors treatment, with showhouse doors opening tomorrow from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
Builders O’Brien and O’Flynn have developed a left-over portion of their original Foxwood site and have put up 16 townhouses and called it The Ferns.
Marketed through Sherry FitzGerald, these two to three-bed townhouse are pretty high spec, says Paul Reid, and offer good value for money at €340,000 for the two-beds and €350,000 for the three-bed units.
Tucked away in a cul-de-sac, (and reaping the benefit of a mature estate and a bankable address), the new houses are just a skip to Douglas and the link road and are an absolute must for the discerning buyer, says the agent.
Designed by Dennehy and Dennehy Architects, they range in size from 909 sq ft to 937 sq ft with three house types — although the design varies from house to house, which adds to the uniqueness, says Paul.
Good quality fitted kitchens, with appliances, are standard and, in most cases, The Ferns has two en suite bedrooms.
The scheme also offers extra large back gardens and two designated parking spaces per house.
Carmel Downey of Village Interiors was responsible for the showhouse and spent quite a bit of time with the builders, re-organising interior layouts and suggesting the best use of space — which gives a bespoke quality.
Set against a backdrop of mature trees and in a quiet suburban setting, the houses will suit downsizers are well as first-time buyers with a bit of clout.
It’s one of those rare, low-density schemes, there should be considerable interest in this infill scheme — so check it out tomorrow.
