Willow Creek has charm, lots of space and its own fresh water pond

IN one of the more salubrious areas of Bandon, west Cork, ‘Willow Creek’ is also a bit of a rural idyll.

The name is taken from the little creek that bounds the property and, in turn, feeds a fresh water pond on the grounds of two acres.

As it is, Willow Creek (on the cutely-named, Cherry Tree Lane), is surrounded by old trees and a field boundary, yet its Old Park location means it’s a quick dash to Bandon town. The property is on the market with ERA Paddy Murray and Co., and he says it has a great, southerly aspect, with a most unusual terrace off the master bedroom, which plays on the romance of the location.

The main house is a generous, newly-built property which comes with underfloor heating at ground floor level and also offers space for growing families.

It comes with a good working kitchen and island unit, an open living/dining room with two sets of double doors opening to a stone terrace. This overlooks the pond and is a bit of a sun trap, he says.

The ground floor includes a home office which connects to a double garage and offers potential for new owners, he adds. The ground floor includes one of four bedrooms and a guest bathroom, while overhead there’s a full master suite, with terrace and two other bedrooms with main bathroom.
