It comes up for sale half a year after the sale of its near neighbour, number three, which had been largely overhauled by its vendor, a consulting engineer who specialises in older properties. That mid-terraced period house made over €650,000, and the asking for number one is €675,000 via estate agent, Michael O’Donovan of Sherry FitzGerald’s city offices.

He dates the house to 1870, and calculates its floor area at 2,200 sq ft, with scope for four or more bedrooms.
