Location the main draw, but sea views a bonus

FOR those of you who’ve taken that nice walk over the headland from Warren Strand to Owenahincha, the Cregane area of Roscarbery will be familiar. There, running down the hill on the Owenahincha side of the promentary are rows of holiday homes on two sides.

Covetable ones indeed, on a warm summer’s day when West Cork is in its best bib and tucker. You just know it’s the only place in the world to be and, if Cork people are arrogant, that’s why.

‘Ocean Sound’ lives up to its name: it’s set just across the road from Owenahincha Bay, and in the distance Galley Head can be seen.
