Five-bed Wheatfields home shows big gain

WHEATFIELDS in Kilmoney Carrigaline, Co Cork, was launched to huge interest in late summer 2004.

Five-bed Wheatfields home shows big gain

A development by the Loftus family, the 14-acre scheme was offered in sites of between a half to a third of an acre, fully serviced, for around €240,000 apiece at the time.

Now, the last sites are making well in excess of €400,000 and the estate of one-offs is nearly completed.

The selling agent for the sites, Terence O’Leary of Property Partners O’Mahony Walsh, is now offering a completed, five-bed home at 6, Wheatfields and the price guide of €730,000 reflects the capital appreciation.

A big house, it comes with 2,700 square feet of space and sits on its own, walled-in site. Brand new, it has a reduced stamp duty rate for buyers, says Mr O’Leary, and has a builders finish.

Room sizes are good, particularly in the kitchen, which stretches to 22’ or 7.1 metres and comes with a good-sized utility. Also included is a conservatory of 5.0m by 4.6m, a living room and lounge, both with dimensions of 4.9m by 4.1m, and five overhead bedrooms, two with ensuites and one with ensuite access.

The grounds are laid out and ready to go, and there’s good parking to the front.
