Prized Dewberry home can be yours at tempting €800,000

IT’S a big un, yet not one of the biggest. Hence, an asking price of €800,000, not the €1.2 million average the last and biggest new houses across the road have been sold for.

Newly up for sale in Cork’s Mount Oval Village, in Rochestown, is 53 Dewberry, a 1,950 sq ft five bed trader-up family home built a few years ago, but never occupied.

So it comes up for sale in as-new condition with estate agent Judy Doyle-Buckley of Eyeopener Properties based in Blarney, who reckons it was one of the last Dewberry section houses to be built in the almost finished 800-house O’Flynn Construction scheme.

The detached house has come under immediate viewing scrutiny, and has a hall with oak floor, kitchen with maple units and integrated appliances, 21’ by 10’ dining room off for family space and conservatory with patio access, a grand 21’ by 12’ living room, guest loo and utility, as well as a study.

Two of the three first floor bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and the top level fits in two more bedrooms and a main bathroom.

The house has zoned or thermostat-controlled gas-fired heating on each level, higher than average ceilings, oak flooring at ground level, and a walled in rear garden.
