GLENCREE, a three-bed semi in the cul de sac of Woodgrove on the south side of Cork city has already gone over its €465,000 asking price to bids of €500,000.

Not too many people will be familiar with Woodgrove, as there’s just 14 houses hidden in this dog-leg shaped enclave off the south Douglas Road end of the Cross Douglas Road, near Loreto Park.

Estate agent Dennis Guerin of Frank V Murphy & Co is handling the sale, and within the past week it has gone well over its initial asking price.
