RTÉ needs homes for restoration series

CALLING all junk merchants — RTE Cork are planning a series about architectural salvage and restoration and are seeking participants. Participants can be singles, couples or families about to embark on a building or restoration project.

The series will explore the arcane world of architectural salvage and conservation, while offering expert advice to those in the throes of a project, regardless of the condition of the building.

Are you someone who prefers an old cottage to a new building, a ratty old house to a spanking new mansion? Do you enjoy spending time sourcing the perfect brass knob, the spot-on period piece? Then Peter Carr, at the Cork Studios, Fr Matthew St, wants to hear from you.
