Ideal pair of country houses come with price guides of €600,000

THE market is wakening from its slumber and next week, now that the kids are back at school, the mammies and daddies will go house-hunting.

Ideal pair of country houses come with price guides of €600,000

Two country houses hit the market this month in the Farmer’s Cross/Ballygarvan area at around the €600,000 mark.

First up is a Rathmacullig bungalow which has a superb, billiard-table site close to Cork Airport and an interior that’s fresh and new.

On the market with Johnny O’Flynn and Ann O’Mahony of Sherry FitzGerald, it’s a four-bed with a large conservatory extension to the back and it looks good.

It also comes with an attached garage and has a decent range of rooms: these include a large, modern kitchen/ diner, a formal lounge with a solid mahogany floor and an en suite master bedroom.

Also included are a main bathroom with four-piece suite and Jacuzzi bath, a utility and guest bathroom.

The house sits on a site of half an acre and it has that most elusive of all fittings — broadband.

Further down the road, the same agents are selling another detached bungalow at Meadstown, Ballygarvan, and this comes with a €600,000 price tag. This house also has just over a half acre of ground and comes with a conservatory.

The main living rooms are open plan, with kitchen, dining and conservatory running together and a separate lounge.

The master is en suite and there are three other double rooms with a main bathroom included. The house is a mile and a half from Ballygarvan village.
