A SWIFT re-sale wanted means that last year’s disappointed underbidders on this Mountleader, Leamlara home have a second bite at the cherry.

The much-extended 3,000 sq ft family home on a 1.25 acre site was bought last year for about €480,000, but a sudden change of work plans means the owners who bid for it now have to relocate, after just one summer in situ.

Guide price now via agent Michael O’Donovan of Sherry FitzGerald’s Cork city offices is €530,000, so really a 10% jump, more or less in line with annual house price inflation. Location is about 15 miles from Cork city, with Glounthane a sort of main road jumping point, and interest is expected from points east of Cork city, from traders-up.
