House in the country ticks all the boxes

THIS is one of those property’s that is going to appeal to a certain segment of the market.

The demographic that wants to live in the country, but also by the sea, in a house with room for a pony, but within a short drive of the city.

Not much to ask for, really, but then, this former parochial house does tick those boxes. In the rolling plains of Minane Bridge, this house even has the much-prized sea views and is less than a mile from Robert’s Cove.

It’s also just five miles from Carrigaline, which is shaping up to be one of the better shopping towns in the south. The city is just a short drive from there on good, though regularly congested, roads.

However, back in Minane, you have all the peace and quiet you could possibly want and a house that comes with options. On the market with Kieran McNamee of McNamee and Associates, Reagrove House is totally refurbished and carries a guide price of €850,000.

It comes with a one-bedroomed granny flat, he says, and has newly roofed stables and a paddock on an acre of ground.

The site is railed and the house is in a private setting at the end of a gravelled driveway.

It’s in perfect condition at the moment, he says, but new owners might want to put their own decorative stamp on the property.

The bedroom count is two to three, with a mezzanine area doubling as an office and underneath is a large living room of 20’ by 13’.

The farmhouse has a half door to the yard and is fitted in country pine, while the main bathroom is very big and comes with cast iron bath.

The apartment, meanwhile has an open plan living area and an en suite bedroom.

All services are in place.
