Home seeks professional
The genteel home is just off the Woodstown Road, in a Dunmore Road area heavy with period beauties, and this is probably one of the more affordable — in relative terms, that is.
It is being sold for a retired medic, who has owned it for several decades, by estate agent Des O’Shea of O’Shea O’Toole, and he says a buyer is likely to come from the same sort of city-based professional cohort as the area is popular with doctors in the easily-reached Regional Hospital: it is six miles south of Waterford city.
Woodstown beach is a short distance away popular and Dunmore East is along the coast road.
The reason for the manageable (again, a relative description) guide is the fact the house is being sold on a site of just about one third of an acre, as the vendors have converted outbuildings to one side for their own use.
However, there is a possibility of acquiring further land separately from this sale, Mr O’Shea indicates.
Framed to the front by mature cherry trees (the picture here was taken in winter, as the full cloak of spring blossom masks the house’s size and character), Inisfail also has very good reception rooms.
Overall accommodation includes a hall with fanlit door entrance, drawing room 24’ by 16’ with marble fireplace, formal dining room, living room with Esse stove, pantry, and utility, plus one ground floor en suite bedroom with double shower in the bathroom suite.
Overhead are three bedrooms, and bathroom. The house also has mature gardens and forecourt parking.
