Good location for a guest house

LOOKS like things are ‘coming up roses’ for the Brambles, an eight-bedroom guest house a couple of miles from Midleton in East Cork, at Ballyrichard, off the busy N25 Cork and Rosslare road.

The Brambles is on a site of a third of an acre, and, from a business point of view, bio-pharm company Amgen is to bring 1,500 jobs to a new plant it wants to build nearby, between Carrigtwohill and Midleton.

Speculators have driven up house prices, since January, in the entire East Cork region.

Lawrence Sweeney, of Property Partners Burke Wall, is seeking €675,000 for the Brambles.

Accommodation includes a porch, hall, conservatory, dining room, kitchen, guest WC, and five en suite bedrooms on the ground floor. Overhead are a living room, bathroom and three bedrooms.

The house might be bought for business, or family use, and, in addition to the main residence, there’s a 33’ by 13’ garage, shed/playhouse and gardens.
