New house with garage and office has a pond stocked with 4,500 fish

New house with garage and office has a pond stocked with 4,500 fish

Under the (long) shadow of Mount Leinster, this new-build home of 2,500sq ft has a novelty in the back gardens, a large fishing pond stocked with over 4,500 coarse fish.

The pond holds freshwater fish like tench, rudd and carp, ranging in weights from 2lb to 9lbs, says estate agent Tom Sloyan of Fogarty Property Partners in Kilkenny who, along with Thomas Byrne of Carlow, is handling the house sale, with the fish thrown in.
