Gilbert’s latest hit is a spacious five-bed house, naturally

GILBERT O’SULLIVAN, the builder not the singer, is responsible for this home at Crohane, Ballinascarthy, one of a number of hits to his name in west Cork.

On the market with Martin Kelleher of SWS Property Services, the house has an asking price of €475,000 and comes with reduced stamp duty for buyers, he says.

A 2,500 sq ft five-bedroom whopper, the storey-and-a-half house is on the outskirts of Clonakilty and is also close to Timoleague and Courtmacsherry.

And, it is in turnkey, not shell condition, which means it has a fitted kitchen, utility tiling, wooden flooring, fireplaces and bathroom suites as part of the price.

The three-quarter acre site is already seeded and has a gravel driveway and stone entrance piers and there’s even a deck in place at the back, with a garden shed.

The rooms are a good size and there are lots of them, including a large entrance hallway.

The ground floor has a kitchen/dining room, lounge, living room or fifth bedroom, a main bathroom, guest cloakroom and shower and large utility.

Upstairs are three double bedrooms with master en suite. The house comes with oil heating.
