West Cork cottage tastefully decorated and extended

AN extended West Cork cottage on a third of an acre can be bought for around the cost of a Clonakilty townhouse.

Extended to the rear, Rose Cottage at Curragh near the Pike on the Rosscarbery beyond Clonakilty, now has about 1,400 sq ft of living space, done tastily and with three bedrooms, says estate agent Henry O'Leary of the Property Partners network in Clonakilty.

He sold the cottage in a more original state about five years ago, and now the owner is moving back closer to Cork city. It is on a third of an acre, three miles west of Clonakilty and, handily for a range of buyers, it is also on a bus route. According to Mr O'Leary, it is most likely to be bought for full-time owner occupation.
