Waterfront re-sales ready to move in to

A FLURRY of re-sales are on offer in the all-new Jacob’s Island development in Mahon, Cork, in the lead up to Christmas.

Waterfront re-sales ready to move in to

Now that this first phase is nearing completion, five apartments are on the market with two selling agents, while the main agents for this ongoing scheme, Sherry FitzGerald, are now selling phase three.

The handy thing about re-sales like this is that buyers don’t have to wait for four to 16 months and can have their apartments within a very short time frame, at around the same cost as the third phase and, crucially, without stamp duty.

Brian Olden of Lisney is selling one of the very swanky, three-bed duplex units on this waterfront site and is inviting offers of €370,000 for the property which includes a sunroom, three bedrooms, one en suite, a kitchen/diner, livingroom and main bathroom.

With a designated car parking space and close to the new Mahon Point centre, due to open in early spring, this waterfront location is very desirable. Mr Olden is also selling two, two-bed units at 123 and 124 Jacob’s Island for offers of €270,000. These 684 square feet units include outside terraces.

Global Properties is selling two-bedroomed units at 83 and 91 Jacobs Island and these come in at €285,000 and €280,000 respectively. Just off the Mahon Point exit, these units are part of a courtyard scheme and include outside patios.

A waterfront scheme, Jacob’s Island will be a 400-plus mixed scheme when finished and apart from its excellent infrastructural location, the properties front onto Lough Mahon and are set back behind a well preserved and heavily wooded, 18-acre amenity walkway.
