Surprisingly low price tag for fully furnished property

TOORMORE may have become the most familiar address in West Cork because of a recent libel trial, but it also made the stage in 1985 when polemicist and playwright Eoghan Harris made it the basis for his play, ‘Souper Sullivan’.

The production dealt with the famine years of 1846 to 1847 when local Catholics were fed by Church of Ireland rector, the Reverend Fisher and the accusations of forced conversion that followed.

These days, with the famine 150 years and more behind us, the once hungry hills of West Cork now bask in the prosperity of the Tiger economy.
