Detached home has attraction

THE days of mock-stone cladding are just about passed, but for those who can see past it at 15, Temple Vale in Cork, there's quite an attractive house to be discovered.

Detached home has attraction

The two-storey, detached home, is in a development of a couple of dozen homes, built over a 10-year span, ranged around a large green area off Beaumont Drive, in Cork's Blackrock.

As this development went on, the specification in the houses here increased (but the stone unfortunately survived).

For example, the more modern no 15 has a price guide of €575,000 with Cohalan Downing, while the older style (eg, no en suite, garage unconverted) no 2 is also for sale, under offer right now at its €475,000 guide with agent Tim Sullivan.

No 15 has accoutrements like an en suite master bedroom and extensive walk-in wardrobe/attic storage, and "is in superb condition throughout," says Malcolm Tyrrell of Cohalan Downing.

The house itself has over 2,000 sq ft of space, four bedrooms, with en suite main bedroom.

There are living and dining rooms interconnected with an arch, a family room to the right of the entrance hall, utility, guest loo, study and kitchen/breakfast room, with cream-painted units.
