Orchard Road just what doctor ordered

SCALPELS at the ready: Cork’s medical fraternity may be about to do battle over a few choice houses coming up for sale on sought-after Orchard Road.

Proximity to the Bon Secours hospital, UCC and even Cork University Hospital has meant that Orchard Road is the suburban strip of choice for desirable residences.

Problem is, there’s scarcely two dozen homes here on this chicane-like residential road, a lazy, leafy S-shape linking College Road and Victoria Cross, so there’s always bidding competition.
