Rectory sparks viewing interest

The glebe properties, comprising the rectory, the old church and the former school house, are now all in separate family ownerships, as quality private residences, with the rectory alone being offered for sale.

The cut-stone rectory residence is on the market with joint agents Brian Olden of Lisney and Dan Howard of Dooley and Howard.

The property is situated on some two acres of grounds, including small coachhouse, cobbled yard and the imprint of a lawn tennis court.

Ballygarvan village is just off the Cork to Kinsale road, five miles from the city centre, and also close are Cork Airport and Carrigaline.

Meanwhile, also a recent confirmed sale at this upper price level in Cork is Glandore, an early 1990s family home on private grounds in Blackrock village.

Glandore made over €900,000 though agents CB Hamilton Osborne King.
