Two homes, different price tags
Both are similar houses in the Firgrove/Wilton Avenue area, but with widely varying price tags.
House number one is the more, shall we say, tired of the two and it’s at 1, Firgrove Lawn where Jarleth Boyd of Hamilton Osborne Kings has given a guide price of €300,000 to this four bedroomed semi.
Since the boards went up, bids have risen to €325,000, but the house will need a further surge of cash to get it up to standard.
Not too far away, T J Cronin of Irish and European has an extended version of the same property at Wilton Avenue. ‘Fingal’ is a four-bedroomed semi with an extension to the rear and a partially converted attic. It also comes with a huge back garden and a garage conversion and is in very good condition, says Mr Cronin.
He’s pitched the property at €450,000 and expects keen interest as this is one of the consistently strong property areas of Cork’s western suburbs.
