Follow in famous footsteps with a Ferry nice view

VIEWS of East Grove, the fabulous period Cork harbour home, and the water are just two of the attributes of Fuschia Cottage, an East Ferry home up for sale as an early 2006 property market ‘find’.

The Co Cork house has had a string of illustrious owners. Previously occupied by the Kelly family of German-born musicians, its current occupants are Lewis and Loretta Glucksman, benefactors of Cork city's acclaimed Glucksman Gallery in UCC.

Perhaps they, and architects O'Donnell Tuomey, got some of the gallery's design inspiration from their anchorage at East Ferry; after all, the cantilevered and curved wooden gallery structure has been compared to a boat in the trees.
