ROLL up, roll up for the last two remaining apartments at Midleton’s Cois na hAbhann.

The waterfront development at Bailick has been snapped up, mostly by local buyers, according to Lawrence Sweeney of Global Properties Ltd.

On the ground floor, a two-bedroom apartment is available, measuring 770 sq ft. The asking price is €220,000.

Above on the second floor is a three bedroom apartment of 1,123 sq ft, costing €272,500.

Special features in the block, designed by Richard Rainey, include natural gas zoned heating, video entry phone, remote control access doors and ISDN lines.

Water enthusiasts have easy access to the river outside the front door, while all of the town’s amenities are a five minute walk away.

Meanwhile, Cork city is just a 20 minute drive away.

In the not too distant future Midleton is set to be linked to Cork city again by rail. The revival of the rail link will almost certainly have a ‘Luas effect’ on property prices in the town. It will also mean that Midleton will become a much easier commute from the city and will attract even more business to the town.
