Top of the range city properties

TAKE one large, period house on an acre, in the much-sought after suburb of Blackrock, add three new, detached houses and you have Glandore Manor.

This infill scheme of top of the range houses is being sold by Billy Casey of Casey and Kingston for prices starting at €810,000 and is built on the grounds of Glandore House.

A large and attractive, 100-year-old property, it’s hidden off the Blackrock Road at the village end and was sold in 2003 for a price well in excess of its guide of €800,000, through its selling agent at the time, Peter Cave of HOK.

Walking round the raw brick divisions, it’s apparent that these are well designed houses which are aimed for easy, modern living.

All the right rooms are in place for properties at this level, including four decent bedrooms, a large living room with bow window, a dining room, study, family room and good kitchen with utility.

Each house also has three bathrooms and a guest cloakroom, bringing them to the top of the range for new properties in Cork city. Add in the Blackrock road address and there should be no shortage of buyers willing to take on these houses, even at €810,000 a pop.
