Ireland’s biggest student village

THE biggest ever student accommodation development in the country was opened officially by Bertie Ahern in Waterford City last Friday.

This E50 million student village scheme on the city’s Inner Ring Road and called Riverwalk will have accommodation for more than 560 third-level students when completed in early 2005.

Designed by local firm, Tritschler and Tritschler and Associates, the complex covers an area of seven acres and will have a total of 193 student apartments arranged around a central courtyard in an integrated, village-style development.
