CREATING space and letting in more light were the top priorities for the owners of a home in Midleton, Co Cork.

As a result they converted the attic into two bedrooms and a study, and they added a sunroom to the ground floor.

The converted home in Churchtown North, two miles from Midleton, is now on the market for €400,000 with Sherry Fitzgerald O’Donovan.

It has a decking with a canopy and recessed lighting. “The back of the property gets all the evening sun. It’s a great place to relax in the summertime,” said auctioneer John Hornibrook.

The addition of a sunroom made a significant difference to the property as it extended the living space downstairs, he added.

“This is a lovely family home which is both bright and spacious,” said Mr Hornibrook.
