Sherry Fitz follows office moves

A SHINY new face has been put on Cork’s estate agency offices, with a high-profile auctioneering office relocation setting a quality marker for other firms to follow.

Sherry FitzGerald's move to 6 Lapps Quay marks the shift from the traditional South Mall commercial heartland to what is a newly emerged city business district, with law and accountancy firms following suit.

Offices developments and new buildings are coming on stream at and behind Cork City Hall on Albert Quay, Anglesea Street, Lapps Quay, Parnell Place and Anderson's Quay indicating a rapid diversification in locations for so-called 'third-generation' facilities.

Sherry FitzGerald's 5,000 sq ft retail offices/property showrooms opposite the Clarion Hotel take fit-out to new levels of "lifestyle orientated environment", say designers Douglas Wallace.

MD for the Cork flagship offices Sheila O'Flynn said they had delivered "a state of the art retail experience where our clients can easily access all the information they need on new and second-hand properties throughout Cork and indeed the entire Sherry FitzGerald network nationwide. In addition, customers can get independent financial advice from Mortgage Insight.

"The investment in Lapps Quay is a reflection of Sherry FitzGerald's confidence in the Cork property market and its future potential," she added.
