Key agents sign up with Property Partners
The partnership of O’Mahony Walsh, with offices on Cork’s South Mall, as well as in Ballincollig and Macroom are set to join as the franchise’s 48th member.
And, in Killarney, Tadgh Gallivan has signed up as number 47 to Property Partners as well.
The two-year franchise, second in size after Sherry FitzGerald and heading up to 50 agents, bills itself as Ireland’s fastest-growing franchise, and has put on a spurt with a 1 million advertising spend to promote the brand during 2003. Its website www.propertypartners.ie has 4.2 million hits per month.
It has a growing Munster profile, and just before Christmas Henry O’Leary in Clonakilty signed up, securing Bandon and Skibbereen Property Partners franchises as well.
Taking up the challenge in Cork city is O’Mahony Walsh, founded 16 years ago by Frank Walsh and John O’Mahony with Tim Murray, and now includes Terence O’Leary as one of their higher profile estate agents.
O’Mahony Walsh opened a city office on the South Mall six years ago, and between its three offices employs a staff of 22, and has a financial services and insurance business as well as auctioneering trade.
O’Mahony Walsh is most active west of the city with several new housing developments, such as Classes Lake in Ballincollig, as well as a commercial side.
A number of city agencies competed for the franchise opportunity with Property Partners, now the second largest franchise estate agency after Sherry FitzGerald.
In welcoming the newest members, Marketing Director, Eugene Davy said, “this announcement is recognition of the growing success of Property Partners in the Munster region. We now have offices spanning across the province from Cork, Limerick, Ennis, Killarney, Clonakilty, Macroom, Ballincollig, Nenagh, Carrick-on-Suir, Waterford and Dungarvan.”
