War has given markets everywhere the jitters; the country's economic and employment slowdown rightly counsels caution, but the lower and more affordable end of the property market is best placed to ride out the rough patch ahead.

However, the new homes market continues to soldier on, with massive demand for product evidenced at weekend showhouse openings and rapid sales of new releases.
