Soldiering on

THE prophets of doom might warn of an impending Irish house price slump - but the strength of demand for new homes shows little sign of abating.

War has given markets everywhere the jitters; the country's economic and employment slowdown rightly counsels caution, but the lower and more affordable end of the property market is best placed to ride out the rough patch ahead.

However, the new homes market continues to soldier on, with massive demand for product evidenced at weekend showhouse openings and rapid sales of new releases.
