Hollyhill comes with options
And, though it is almost a crime to even suggest this given its existing good condition it might even be a knocking job for some aspirational new owners given the excellent location on Carr's Hill, site size and the value of individual house sites in the vicinity.
Case in point is the sale going through of a site nearby for one house beside the former Douglas rectory, sale-agreed within days of going on the market with Woodwards: it made a likely €700,000, around its price guide and has planning for one house of over 2,500 sq ft on a mature site overlooking Douglas.
Given that there was active bidding on that (and that means disappointed underbidders still looking for a site,) some may float along up the road to Hollyhill, a four-five bed bungalow on a half-acre south facing site with views across a valley to Donnybrook Hill.
Jarleth Boyd of Hamilton Osborne King guides Hollyhill (on the start of the Carrigaline Road on Carr's Hill, near the upmarket Maryborough Woods development at over €425,000, and notes that it is in very good order and well-built.
