Árd Aoibhinn offering panoramic views of Harbour Point golf course

NOW it is a little faded and the winter colours don’t help, but Árd Aoibhinn in Little Island is a bit of on an unpolished gem.

With a green-fingered site of three-quarters of an acre and absolute privacy, the house is right on the third green at Harbour Point and according to golfing amateur and auctioneer, Kevin O'Connell, it has views over nine holes.

He waxes lyrical about this house and describes its setting as 'magnificent'. On a more practical level, the house now has a new road at Courtstown, he says, with stone walling and lighting, which will make it more amenable to city folk. This house is also impressive in size: it had four bedrooms and three reception rooms originally but the attic has been converted and now houses a master suite and study. Close to Eastgate makes it handy for workers on this eastern side of the city, but the proximity of the Lee Tunnel gives access to all parts of the city speed can't be guaranteed, however.
