THE daffs are up and out in many places, and the first sale of 2005 in Cork’s Daffodil Fields is also on the way.

The rapidly bedded-down development is on the Cork side of Ballincollig, built in the late 1990s by John Fleming in one of his first residential forays into the city region from west Cork.

He paid what was then a record price in suburban Cork for building land, and the detached houses here are always swift sellers.
