Drawn in by original Victorian features

A BIT of a “find” is how auctioneer John Gaffney of GVM describes number 12, Charlemont Terrace on Cork’s Wellington Road.

This mid-terrace Victorian house is in perfect condition, he says, and comes with all its original features intact. And while many older houses look tired over time, this house doesn’t, he says, adding that all it floors are level, all original fireplaces are in place and despite pre-63 planning, the Victorian layout remains unchanged.

While it is being viewed by investors at the moment, the property would make a splendid family home, especially as the properties on either side are owner-occupied.
