Right address, but lower price
The last few sales on Cork’s Rochestown Road have been to the heavy hitters, weighing in at €2 million for Gerald Goldberg’s Ben Truda, bought by an architect, and Gortalough, sold for €4 million and bought by an accountant who is now spending further sums on it.
Here’s one priced a bit lower - ‘just’ €500,000, but in truth all it has in common with the other sales is the address....the right hand side of the Rochestown Road.
Robin Court is a 1990s dormer bungalow four or five entrance gates down the road from the Douglas Fingerpost - so the address is better than prime, it is legendary.
It has four bedrooms (one at ground level,) two bathrooms, living room, kitchen/dining room, a utility room and about 1,400 sq ft of space.
Its real selling points are location, a detached status with front and back gardens, its own private site, and, oh, did we mention location?
Estate agent Michael McKenna of McKenna O’Donoghue Clarke is selling this bankable Rochestown Road property, which is in good, clean and sound overall condition but it’s a place that could be comfortably and imaginatively upgraded further to justify its location.
