Central Waterford bar sells for just under €2 million

WATERFORD’S Norris’s Bar, on the junction of Slievekeale Road and Barrack Street, has been sold for just under €2 million.

Purchasers are Martin Colbert and Owen Dunphy, the latter a former manager of the De La Salle Sports Centre on Stephen Street in the city.

The central city premises has income from a Chinese takeaway, an off-licence and the bar, lounge and function room.

Selling agent John Rohan said the good price paid “certainly adds credibility to the growing demand for licensed premises in Waterford. Owen Dunphy and Martin Colbert have bought a piece of prime real estate as well as a profitable and established business, and I think that the €2m price tag reflects this.”
