Secluded spot close to the city

IN A secluded location on Goggin’s Hill, Hill Top is a three-bedroom, detached property that’s just over a mile from Ballinhassig village and around a 10-minute drive from Bishopstown.

In this airy location, you get rolling hills and peace and quiet, but with fast access to the city.

And the house comes in impeccable condition, according to Johnny O’Flynn of Sherry FitzGerald, who’s looking for offers in the region of €410,000 for this smart bungalow.

Standing on a third of an acre, the house has 1,500 square feet, with a lot of that given over to living space. This includes a new conservatory to the back that’s accessed off the large living room.

Hill Top comes with three bedrooms and a main bathroom and, while that’s sufficient for some, there is room to build on.

Just down the road in Waterfall, Fleming Construction’s 57-house estate at Heatherfield has jumped from an initial price of €655,000 for five-bed detached to around €800,000.

This is just one indication of demand in the area and the sale of two sites in Ballinhassig, for around €8 million apiece, (one of which is the local GAA pitch and hasn’t been finalised yet), is an indication of an area on the rise.
