Strong bidding for old style semi

SET up by the top of the Well Road in Cork city, close to Lovetts restaurant, the revamped Silver Quay bar and restaurant and Cork Constitution, slightly overlooking Mahon golf club and estuary is the three-bed semi Dooneen.

It hit the market with a too-modest guide price, with offers sought in excess of €300,000, but within days was up to €330,000 and perhaps only starting its price trajectory.

House hunters in this mature Douglas area may have heard whispers about another fully renovated three-bed semi on a large corner site in Browningstown, which was expected to sell for around €360,000 and ended up in strong bidding topping €400,000.
