A little work well worth investment

DO the work and what will cost you €200,000 or so to buy could turn into a house worth £200,000 in the old money.
A little work well worth investment

That’s according to estate agent Noelle Morrison, who is selling no 6, Victoria Avenue in Cork city, on the walking distance end of the road to Blackrock.

Victoria Avenue is just off the Old Blackrock Road and links as well to the Boreenmanna Road, and walking routes back to the city centre are several and varied, with the chance of getting from your front door to the city centre in 15 minutes or so on foot.

No 6 is a mid-terraced home with front garden and large back garden, and it has four bedrooms, two apiece on each of its upper floors.

Ground floor here has a hall on the left with old tiles, two reception rooms, one with a bay window in front and both have original fireplaces, and there’s a small kitchen behind with scullery/utility area. Guide price is €200,000, but after a bit of spending, its value should be over €250,000, says Noelle Morrison.
