HERON’S WOOD development in Carrigaline has come up trumps for its hundreds of occupants and also its builder, Stephen McCarthy of Astra Construction.

Now in the closing stages of the large scheme on the Cork side of the satellite town, the building firm behind Heron’s Wood are set to switch attention to the far side of Carrigaline. Just prior to Christmas, Astra Construction sought planning permission for 530 new houses, duplexes and apartments on a 50 acre site at Kilnagleary.
