Heron’s Wood in closing stages

HERON’S WOOD development in Carrigaline has come up trumps for its hundreds of occupants and also its builder, Stephen McCarthy of Astra Construction.

Heron’s Wood in closing stages

Now in the closing stages of the large scheme on the Cork side of the satellite town, the building firm behind Heron’s Wood are set to switch attention to the far side of Carrigaline. Just prior to Christmas, Astra Construction sought planning permission for 530 new houses, duplexes and apartments on a 50 acre site at Kilnagleary.

In the ‘here’s one that was prepared earlier’ category, newly up for sale is 26, Woodvale, Heron’s Wood, a four-bed detached home on a corner site with good internal finishes.

On the market with McNamee Associates, it is a €450,000 property. Set by a large open green area, No 26 has about 1,500 sq ft of space and an exterior which is practically maintenance free.

Internally, there’s a hall with solid wood floor, a lounge almost 17’ by 12’ with bay window and fireplace, family room behind with French doors to the garden and both reception rooms also have wood floors.

The kitchen/dining room, measuring 18’ deep by over 10’ wide has oak units and integrated appliances, there’s a utility room off and the ground level also has a guest WC.

Overhead, this home has four bedrooms, all with varnished wood floors. The property comes with alarm, gas central heating, and two side access points to the rear garden.
